Description
The work will consist of placing grout in voided areas under approach slabs at the north and south abutments of the Chesapeake City Bridge. The Contractor will be required to perform all work associated with the grout placement, including providing the grout material, drilling holes, injecting grout into the unconsolidated material below the voids, and pumping the grout into the voided areas. The Contractor will be required to perform repairs to the surface of the roadway and roadway shoulder impacte d by the work. The work will be performed during a night-time closure of the bridge. The Chesapeake City Bridge is a tied-arch bridge that supports two lanes of Maryland State Route 213, spanning the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal. Traffic control will be provided by the Government. Solicitation documents will be available on the web page on or about October 7, 2005. There will be a site visit on October 11, 2005. Completion time is 15 calendar days. The NAICS Code for this project is 238110 (SIC 1 771) with a size standard of $12.0 million. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000.00 are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS- 100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans as required by FAR 22.1310 (b) prior to award. Davis Bacon rates will be applicable to the construction and bonding is required. Please review all bonds and accompanying documents required to be submitted.
