Description

The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole-source purchase order to Data Security, Inc., 729 Q ST, Lincoln, NE 68508-1331 for the purchase of 1EA: HD-1T degausser (part # 951-0000), 1EA 1 year maintenance agreement, 2EA 6 months certification. Conducted under FAR 6.302-1 (a) (2) (ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because Data Security, Inc. is the manufacturer and the only distributor of the degausser equipment which meets mission requirements. Data Security, Inc. is the only vendor approved by National Security Agency for distribution of the HD-1T Degausser unit for DoD agencies (ref: NSA Degausser Approved Products Listing, 19 May 2005, www.nsa.gov/ia/government/MDG/NSA_CSS-EPL-9-12A-B.pdf ). The announcement number is F3HRA15269A00.
