Description
This procurement is for a 5 year Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity contract, including 1 base year, and 4, one-year options, for the Ant-Gravity Vest, NSNs 8475-01-316-7748, 8475-01-316-7749, 8475-01-316-9904, and 8475-01-316-7750. The solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. Engineering source approval is required. If you are interested in becoming an approved source, please contact Le Huyen, Engineer at Brooks Air Force Base, at 210-536-5127. The minimum quantity for the base year and each option year is 210 each and the maximum quantity for the base year and each option year is 650 each. Deliveries are FOB Destination and the destinations are New Cumberland, PA and Tracy, CA. Production lead time is 180 days. The proposed acquisition will be awarded using Low Price ? Technically Acceptable procedures. First Article and Production Lot Testing are required. Military specifications and drawings are available. All material shall be contractor-furnished. The estimated solicitation release date is 14 October 2005. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations in paper form. In order to receive notification of RFPs, prospective offerors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles (C&T) as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as The Berry Amendment impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012 and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
