Description
*NOTE: This is a presolicitation notice, not a solicitation. The solicitation HAS NOT yet been issued. Solicitation will not be issued until after October 10, 2005. Once issued, the solicitation will provide a closing date, 30 days after the issue date. RFP SP0100-05-R-0119 will be for the purchase of Women's Sports Bra, Sand, Styled D-004 or equal. NSN: 8425-01-532-4450(s). The quantity is for a minimum of 15,000 and a maximum of 100,000 per term. Basic year and 4 year options will be included in the solicitation. There is a 60 day lead time and inspection and acceptance will be at Origin. This solicitation will be a Total Small Business Set Aside. Trade-off procedures utilizing Best Value source selection will be utilized. Numbered notes 1, 9, apply. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.dla.mil/home, after October 7, 2005 . From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFPs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles (C&T) as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. The solicitations will be in a downloadable, printable format when viewed with an Adobe Acrobat Reader. Free software is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Gateway technical assistance is available at admin_support@pgmail.daps.mil. DSCP has developed a web-based system that allows manufacturers the ability to request specifications, patterns and drawings on our contracting page http://ct.dscp.dla.mil/Contracting/. The specification can be accessed via the ASSIST website at: http://assist1.daps.dla.mil/quicksearch/. In the box entitled *Document ID* type the specification number exactly as it appears and click on *Submit*. Follow the instructions on each page. Click on the most recent edition of the specification. The specification will be in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as ?The Berry Amendment? impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
