Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for hydroseeding along the Nooksack River Levee system, Northeast of Bellingham, Washington. This purchase requires the performance of hydroseedi ng supply/services at as many as 5 sites northeast of Bellingham along the Nooksack River basin. A map is available upon request. Hydroseeding work consists of hydroseeding a series of as many as 5 levee rehab sites, varying in size from 3 acres to 10 ac res. There is driving access to all sites. The contractor(s) will be responsible for providing water. The hydro seed mixture shall be DOT standard with the following minimal standards: 2000-lbs mulch per acre; 200-lbs of seed per acre; 600-lbs of fertili zer (10-20-20) per acre; 10% Colonial bent grass; 40% Tall fescue/red fescue; 40% Annual/perennial ryegrass ; and 10% White clover. Application of hydroseed will occur on several days as directed by the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) starting approximately October 3, 2005. Hydroseeding of each project site will happen upon completion of each project. There will be coordination of exact dates during the performance of the contract. The Emergency Management Branch, Seattle District, Corps of En gineers shall be in charge of project direction and oversight. The contractor shall operation all equipment in accordance with the requirements of EM 385 1 1 'Safety and Health Requirements Manual', dated 3 November 2003. All dump trucks are required to have CC permits. Back up alarms are required for all trucks and bulldozers. Payment measurement will be for each hydroseeded acre. Only CCR Registered firms are eligible for award. The Government reserves the right to award multiple awards from this so licitation. There is a 20-acre base item and two options for 10 acres, each. A complete quote features a lump sum unit amount for all materials, service and labor for the successful hydroseeding of a complete acre as well as contact information including tax ID number, CAGE code, and contact information including fax and phone numbers and a valid email address. Whatcom County, Washington Service Wage Determination No. 94-2563 revision no. 28 is applicable. For a copy of this wagerate and site directions , email scott.w.britt@usace.army.mil.
