Description
The United States Patent and Trademark Office intends to contract with Audio Visual Services Group, DBA Presentation Services (PSAV) DBA Audiovisual Headquarters (AVHQ) for audio/visual services for intellectual property awareness conferences being held in medium to large cities throughout the United States and conducted at major U.S. hotels. Services include producing professional quality training modules or videotapes of the major presentations and will be used as training when travel is not feasible. These training modules will be made available at the USPTO website for video streaming to the general public from their personal computers. USPTO is conducting this acquisition under ?other than full and open competition? procedures under the Statutory authority, 41 USC 253(c)(1) ? Only one responsible source; the supplies or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the agency?s requirements. PSAV-AVHQ is the in-house audio/visual contractor with exclusive rights to provide audio/visual services for over 500 major U.S. hotels nationwide including the venues where the USPTO will conduct its intellectual property conferences; therefore the USPTO is required to use the services of the in-house audio/visual contractor. The USPTO finds PSAV-AVHQ the only responsible source to satisfy the USPTO?s requirements. This synopsis is not considered a request for quotations or proposals, and a solicitation will not be issued. If any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the USPTO?s requirements must submit a detailed capabilities statement to include technical capabilities, and other information that clearly demonstrates their ability to meet the USPTO?s needs. Responses to the USPTO must be received no later than 1:00 pm, September 27, 2005. Detailed capability statements must be submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Office of Procurement, Madison East, Rm 7B03, P.O.Box 1450, Alexandria, VA 22313-1450, Attn: Sylvia Van Dyke; or email: Sylvia.VanDyke@uspto.gov.
