- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), Silver Spring, Maryland, intends to negotiate on a noncompetitive basis with American Meteorological Society of Boston, MA, to provide the following periodicals; Weather and Forecasting online, QTY 171, Journal of Hydrometeorology online, QTY 171 and Monthly Weather Review, QTY 171. Companies may submit written capability statement in regard to this requirement. Failure to submit documentation will result in the Government proceeding as stated above. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Affirmative written responses must be received no later than Sept 23, 2005 by 12 noon, EST. This requirement is being done as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-05. NAICS code 511120.
