My contact information is 302-677-5213, fax 302-677-5217, michael.white7@dover.af.mil COMMENTS Exisiting locksets are ?conventional cylinders? and therefore will require cpmplete interchangable core cylinders for the mortiuse locksets, and complete new locking hardware for the deadbolts, finishes to match exisiting. All panic hardware to be Von Duprin 99 series Buildings have a mix of L9000 series Mortise locksets, B100 series deadbolts, and B600 series deadbolts. Responsible bidders to provide hardware to match exisitng in type function and finsih. QUESTIONS 1. What keyway will the Schlage cores need to be? Schlage C keyway 2.Are the cores interchangable? The exisiting cores are not currently interchangable.. Would perfer I.C cores. 3. Will we need to provide the cores keyed up tp a master cylinder chart? The winning contractor will need to provide the chart. 4.The color requested is dark brown. Is that the correct color? The color will be dark drown. 5. What is the function of the outside trim? A pull handle would work fine since it will be have storeroom function. 6. What type of Schlage lock are the cores to be installed? Some mortise locks and some deadbolt. 7. What type of core is being changed? Interchangeable core or regular core? Regular core 8. What is the keyway of the core? Are they 5 poin or 6 pin? Schlage C keyway. Both 5 and 6 pin. 9. Will you provide the keying list or will a new master/user system need to be generated? The customer will not provide the keying list and a new master /user system needs to be generated. 10. Where the specified numbers for the Von Duprin hardware taking from exising hardware or from another source? Another source 11. Are the VD22L-26D?s being installed with the panic bars or elsewhere? With the panic bars. 12 The Von Duprin numbers call for an anodized chrome. What color do you require? Chocolate brown or similar. 13. Can you give me more information on the locks? 1. interchangable core, straight lock core A53PD or D53PD, 2- standard core keyway C, E, F etc., 3- are they part of a master key system, what keyway? 4- Are they 5 pin or 6 pin locks? Buildings 435, 430, and 444 have Falcon and Schlage mortise locks. The other buildings have deadbolts. Nothing currently has IC cores. Standard Shlage C keyway. They are currently master keyed. Most locks are 5 pin but some are 6 pin. 14. Do you wish removable core cylinders or standard core cylinders? All will be removable cores except building 402. 15. The quantity of keys to be supplied per cylinder? One key per cylinder plus one blank. 16. Are cylinders to be keyed? Yes 17. Does Schlage factory have an existing key system for Dover Air Force Base? No 18. Are theses items going on wood or hollow metwal doors? Both 50/50 19. Are all doors 36? wide? Yes 20. Do we need to supply cylinders for exit devices Yes 21. Regarding the 18 new Von Duprin exit panic devices Trim #ZD22L-26D Trim does not work with device #ZD99EO (Aluminum Finish. ANSWER: #ZD99EO is incorrect. The correct number should staryt with 99NL (US Chocolate brown) exterior should be pull handle with rim cylinder 22. You are requesting chrome and chocolate brown (doormatic brown). Is it correct? Do you want two different finishes omn the exit device? NO
