Description
Subcontractor shall design, assemble, and deliver one (1) complete packaged fire pump system and pump house for Contractor installation. The complete packaged fire pump system and pump house shall include, but not be limited to the following components: 1. One (1) 100% Diesel engine driven horizontal split case fire pump including supporting accessories. 2. One (1) 100% Electric motor driven horizontal split case fire pump including supporting accessories. 3. One (1) motor driven centrifugal Jockey (pressure maintenance) pump. 4. Interconnecting piping with single suction and single discharge piping manifolds to Contractors piping interface, isolation valves with supervisory switches, flow meter, pump controllers, instrumentation, fuel tank and accessories necessary for a complete functioning system. 5. One (1) pump house with necessary doors, lighting, heating, ventilation, fire protection system and sufficient space for equipment maintenance. All fire pump system components, valves and piping shall be installed within a pump house at the factory (whole or modular) with the consideration to minimize the required field assembly. The pump house is to be installed as a complete fire pump package on a Contractor provided concrete pad/foundation. The required field connections shall include a single point 480/277v, 3 phase, 60 Hz power connection to the Subcontractor exterior-mounted electrical disconnect panel, fire/system status monitoring system interfaces, external piping connections and miscellaneous other external connections. Support for field fire pumps test and start-up. The fire pump system shall be used in the fire suppression system of a non-reactor nuclear facility at the Nevada Test Site (NTS). Yhe design, materials and assemblies shall be subject to the requirements of the Price-Anderson Amendments Act (PAAA). The successful supplier must also have a Quality Assurance Program commensurate with the requirements in 10CFR830.122.
