Description
Program Name: A-10 Precision Engagement Spiral 2 Organization: 508th Attack Sustainment Squadron (508 ATSS) Procurement Phase: Pre-Solicitation Classification Code: Category 16 - Aircraft components & accessories SIC CODE: Dollar amount: $175,000,000 PIXS Library: This is not a notice of RFP issuance. The 508 ATSS anticipates a sole source acquisition of the integration of a Software Compliant Architecture (SCA) Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) into the A/OA-10C Aircraft. This effort will include the system design and development (SDD) for the integration of MIDS JTRS onto the A/OA-10C aircraft as well as manufacturing of MIDS JTRS production kits The 508 ATSS is not able to provide tooling, facilities, or design and fabrication drawings/data for the contractual effort proposed. Program requirements will include: 1) Group A kit design, fabrication and production 2) Group B design , fabrication, and production 3) Trial install and kit proof support activities, 4) Core avionics software integration and installed system functional demonstration, 5) Environmental Control System upgrades, 6) Common Link Interface Protocol middleware integration, 7) Mass Memory Storage upgrades, 8) Digital Map upgrades, 9) Peculiar support equipment and software, 10) Technical orders and time compliance technical orders, 11) Ground and flight test support activities, 12) Initial spares, 13) Provisioning planning, 14) Technical product baseline maintenance, 15) Capability of providing logistics support and an Option for unlimited data drawing package for manufacturer MIDS JTRS production kits. Lockheed Martin Systems Integration-Owego (LMSI), 1801 State Route 17C, Owego, NY 13827-3998, is the expected prime contractor for this effort, pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). The 508 ATSS encourages interested subcontractors to contact LMSI for subcontracting of work related to the above described integration and fabrication work.
