Description

Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for the purchase of an extended waranty for the PharmAssist computer programs used at the Buckley AFB pharmacy in accordance with FAR Part 12 Regulations, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The potential award will go to Innovation Associates 627 Field Street Johnson NY 13790. This requirement is considered sole source given that Innovation Associates is the only known company that manufactures the hardware and software updates that is compatible with our currently installed PC workstations. The PharmAssist system is in operation at Buckley and is our sole dispensing prescription system. It has become the standard prescription filling system throughout Air Force pharmacies and is currently being taught in the Air Force?s technical schools. The 460th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source is known and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
