Description

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service intends to issue and award to the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) on a sole source basis, a contract for all USDA employees and authorized public on-site users, which includes contractors, cooperators and volunteers performing work on behalf of USDA and acting within the scope of their relationship with USDA, to have continuous electronic internet access to online services. Award is pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. In addition to internal use, authorized users shall have the right to use content of the EIU online services for ordinary business (research), scholarly and educational purposes required by the Government, but not limited to viewing, printing, saving, reusing and disseminating content. REQUIREMENT: The contractor shall provide continuous electronic access via the Internet for all USDA users to yearly content of EIU product information entitled 1) World Commodity Forecast, 2) Industry Forecast, 3) City Data, Market Indicators and Forecast, 4) Country Reports and Country Profiles Views Wire, and 5) Economist.Com. Award, effective 9/28/05, will be for a twelve (12) month base period, four (4) twelve (12) month option periods. Responses are to be received within 8 days of this notice. The NAICS Code/Size is 511120. This procurement will be processed pursuant to FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items . No telephone inquiries will be accepted. No solicitation will be issued.
