- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation SP4700-05-T-0023 is a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Acquisition of Commercial Items; (FAC 2005-05); 27 July 2005. This solicitation is unrestricted and the associated NAICS code is 238210 , size standard is $12M. Contract Line Items and Description of requirement are as follows: The Joint Requirements and Integration Office (JR&IO) has 4 conference rooms that require video teleconferencing (VTC) capabilities. JR&IO also require a portable VTC unit for use in offices, as needed. Connectivity will be over an IP network with a T-1 PRI available for external connections. The requirement includes the the required components, networking and management devices, software to enable ISDN to IP connectivity, installation and on site training for 5 people, and 1 year of maintenance (hardware and software), as listed below for each room. All equipment is to be manufactured by Tandberg. In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(14), the lack of competition is based on requiring Tandberg products. These conference rooms must be compatible with existing hardware operating on the Wide Area Network. We expect to receive three or more quotes offering Tandberg products. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. Contract award based on lowest price technically acceptable.
