Description

This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport has a requirement for Content@ software, production instance. This requirement is brand name only. Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-05-Q-6443. Size standard is 1,000 employees. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following items: Content@ Server-Unix-for up to 2 processors (qty. 1), Content@ Client ? WIN (qty. 5), Content@ AI ? EPIC (qty. 1) for the development and maintenance of a Content Management System (CMS) to be used as a single source for storage of all technical data necessary to develop Q-70 documentation (Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), Training Materials, etc.) No maintenance is required. This environment is required to be web-based, and needs to support open-architecture, non-proprietary methods for data exchange, as documentation will be developed by multiple client sites in multiple data formats. It is expected to place a purchase order with XYVision. They are the only known source for these items because they are the only company and sole distributor of Content@ products that can provide the specific software and support services. Required delivery is ASAP, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. A solicitation will be released on or about 09/13/05.
