Description

The Department of the Interior, National Business Center, Division of Acquisition Services, intends to award sole source, firm fixed price contract to ZANTAZ, Inc. 5671 Gibraltar Drive, Pleasanton, CA 94588. This requirement a follow on to provide e-mail restoration and future e-mail capture services using ZANTAZ proprietary software. This procurement will be done in accordance with FAR, Part 12, Acquisition of commerical items and Part 6, Other than full and open competition. This contract involves two major components: (1) capturing all e-mails, in real time, on a ongoing basis for inclusion in a searchable e-mail archive, and (2) Restoring, uploading, and searching a large number of e-mail backup tapes for material potentially responsive to outstanding discovery requests as required. NOTE: The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirment or submit proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 20 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduce a competitive procurement.
