Description
The 11th Contracting Squadron intends to award a simplified acquisition on a sole source basis to Lisner Auditorium, The George Washington University for the USAF Band?s Airmen of Note Jazz Heritage Series Concert. As a minimum the auditorium should be able to tie in with the local university?s music program so its students can have increased contact with the USAF Band career field. It must also be in a setting to support the USAF Band?s Diversity program, so their Equal Employment Opportunity Outreach requirements can be met. The auditorium must also meet sound stage requirements of having a unique balance of tonal color and acoustical timbre. The acoustical footprint of the auditorium must be extremely well suited for this project as determined by the Commander of the USAF Band. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 531120. The corresponding SIC code is 6512. The small business size standard is $6.0 Million. All interested parties are encouraged to provide information on their capabilities to meet this requirement. In order to be considered a potential source, interested parties must submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating the capabilities to satisfy the requirement specified above and the advanatages of the Government to consider another source. The documentation shall include prices and descriptive literature containing sufficient technical documentation to establish a bona fide capability to meet this requirement. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsisble sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to Lisner Auditorium, and all firms that respond to this synopsis. If no affirmative written response is received within 5 calender days after publication of this synopsis that a comparable source is available, an order will be issued to Lisner Auditorium for the requirement described above. The proposed performance dates are 8 October 2005 and 12 November 2005. NOTE: FUNDS ARE NOT PRESENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS REQUIREMENT. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE UNDER THIS SOLICITATION UNTIL FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE.
