Description

The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with U.S. FILTER OF BROADVIEW, ILLINOIS, to perform an upgrade of the existing Water Purification System. The current system is owned by U.S. Filter, which services the hospitals Renal Dialysis Unit, located at the Edward Hines Jr., VA Hospital Campus, Hines Illinois. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS 221310. To the best of our knowledge, U.S. FILTER OF BROADVIEW, ILLINOIS is the only vendor that can provide the required services and upgrades necessary to maintain the system. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with U.S. FILTER OF BROADVIEW, ILLINOIS.
