Description
The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS), University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240, has a requirement for a cardiac intra-ventricular hemodynamic fluid/electronic pressure and volume analysis system to include color monitor and laser printer. VAPHS requires an FDA approved human use device that employs conductance techniques for continuous, real time, operator independent, online acquisition and analysis of invasive hemodynamic parameters of cardiac function. Using a single intraventricular catheter, the device must be able to record realtime pressure and volume and derive the following parameters in real time: end systolic pressure volume relation ESPVR; end diastolic pressure volume relation EDPVR; Preload recruitable stroke work PRSW; and pressure volume areas PVA. In addition, the following realtime measurements are required: cardiac output, stroke volume, stroke work, ejection fraction; endsystolic and enddiastolic volume; peak ejection and filling rates; end systoic and end diastolic pressures; +dp/dt, -dp/dt, Tau; and ventricular segmental and total mechanical dyssynchrony. The system must be capable of interfacing with a 7FR pressure/volume combination catheter with 12 electrodes and 1-mm spacing between electrodes and 1 pressure sensor between electrodes 5 & 6 with pigtail fluid lumen. The pressure interface and pressure/volume combination cathether will be included in the procurement. Estimated solicitation issue date is 8/31/05. Estimated proposal due date is 9/14/05 C.O.B. (4:30 P.M. Eastern Time). The electronic solicitation may be obtained free at the following URLs: http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/ or at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Offerors should contact va.bos.admin@mail.va.gov regarding any problems downloading the solicitation from the website. Any amendments to this solicitation will also be available at the URL addresses. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. Requests for hard copy solicitation must be in writing to John Byrne (04A1-H), VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. No telephone requests will be accepted. Offerors are requested to sign up on the Bidder's Mailing List at the website. Descriptive literature demonstrating that proposed equipment meets all the above-stated requirements must be submitted along with quotation. This is an unrestricted procurement open to large and small businesses. For technical questions, contact Al Durica at (412) 688-6000, Ext. 815868 or by e-mail to Albert.DuricaJr@med.va.gov.
