Ultrasound devices are utilized to place vascular access dev ices in patients who are difficult to access. Ultrasound dev ices permit: direct visualization of the vein, assessment of venous patency, and cannulation of the vein under ultrasoun d guidance. This in turn increases the insertion success rat e, patient satisfaction and decrease pain particularly in th e pediatric population. Manufacture of this product is Bard Access Systems.
