Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal number is N62645-05-R-0037. Provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-05 are incorporated. NAICS 511120. The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate (IAW FAR 6.302) with Thomson Micromedex, 6200 S. Syracuse Way, Suite 300, Greenwood Village, Colorado 80111-4740 as the only source that can provide the claimancy wide subscription to Micromedex database products. This requirement is for renewal of one year claimancy wide license for the following Micromedex products: Drugdex, Identidex, Diseasedex Emergency Medicine, Poisindex, Carenotes, Tomes, Reprorisk, Martindale, U.S. Pharmaceutical MSDS, Current Concepts, and Drug-Reax. Description of the requirements of the items to be acquired: IDENTIDEX: Identification of pharmaceuticals by imprint code, color and shape. POISINDEX: Identifies ingredients for hundreds of thousands of commercial, pharmaceutical, and biological substances. Provides management information on these substances and treatment protocols for individuals who have been exposed. DRUG-REAX: Allows clinicians to check prescribed medications for interacting drug ingredients, their effects, and clinical significance. It provides drug-drug, drug-food, and drug-disease, drug-ethanol, and drug-laboratory assay interactions, along with previous allergic reactions. DRUGDEX: Provides information on dosage, pharmacokinetics, cautions, interactions, clinical applications, patient-specific drug therapy, and comparative drug efficacy for drugs produced in the United States and overseas. TOMES: Provides information helpful when treating patients exposed to potentially toxic chemicals. Detailed information for safely managing hazardous chemicals in the workplace is provided, along with data needed for evaluating chemical exposures, complying with government regulations, and responding to emergencies involving hazardous materials. DISEASEDEX EMERGENCY MEDICINE: Provides treatment protocols and guidelines for use in acute care settings. Includes pertinent clinical presentations, laboratory and diagnostic findings, and answers to patient-specific questions. CARENOTES: Provides easy-to-understand guidelines for self-care that can be distributed to patients discharged from emergency departments or clinics, or to those who have received medication from a pharmacy. U.S. PHARMACEUTICAL MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS: This electronic version of more than 1,000 MSDS issued by the U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention offers quick access to drug and chemical information, including health hazards, handling procedures, and government regulations. REPRORISK: The REPRORISK System is a comprehensive collection of reproductive risk information databases. The System helps professionals evaluate reproductive risks of drugs, chemicals, and physical and environmental agents on males, females, and unborn children. It includes the REPROTEXT System, the REPROTOX System, Shepard?s Catalog of Teratogenic Agents, and TERIS Teratogen Information System. CURRENT CONCEPTS: Continuing education program (ACPE approved). MARTINDALE: This electronic version of the MARTINDALE textbook, published by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, offers extensive information on international drug products includes more than 5,000 substances and 46,000 proprietary preparations. Contract award will be based on 1). Determination of technical acceptability of items offered, 2). Determination of acceptable past performance and 3). Determination of low price. Companies must be registered in CCR; provide DUNS number; Cage Code and TIN. Companies must also comply with DFARS 252.232-7003, ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION OF PAYMENT REQUESTS (JAN 2004).
