Description

SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT DESC: Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and due to the manufacturer's exclusive rights on their equipment, it is our intent to award a sole source to US Filter/Ionpure Inc., 10 Technology Drive, Lowell, MA 01851-2728 for the annual maintenance services on de-ionized water systems located in the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, 'Subject to the Availability of Funds'. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and co nvincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the maintenance will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract base d on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
