Description
The VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach FL is conducting market research to identify potential offerors who could provide the following brand name or equal equipment. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All interested parties must demonstrate that their item is equivalent to this system in all aspects, by submitting descriptive literature, brochures, equipment specifications, etc. by 2:00 PM EST, September 2, 2005. Items are: (1) 1 each, Medi-Stim VeriQ System to include Quad channel volume flow, one channel X-plore channel, two pressure input channels, AUX/EKG input and one additional AUX input. Active 17? matrix touch screen and Hewlett Packard DeskJet printer; (2) 2 each, 3mm QuickFit probe with handle; (3) 2 each, 4mm QuickFit probe with handle; (4) 2 each, 5mm QuickFit probe with handle; (5) 2 each, 6mm PeriVascular probe without handle; (6) 2 each, 7.5 MHz X-Plore probe; (7) 2 each, operator manuals; (8) 1 each Service/Maintenance Manual; (9) 1 each, installation. Warranty: System ? 1 year; Probes ? 50 times use or one year, whichever is reached first. This equipment is needed for vascular cases. This equipment allows immediate feedback of vascular flow as soon as the surgeon has completed the anastomosis. (Sewing veins/arteries together). It is similar to the Doppler, but it substantially varies because of its ability to wrap around the vessel and project a more accurate and truthful picture of the vascularization taking place within the vessel. This equipment provides a much more reliable, accurate and scientific method of testing for vascular flow within the vessels, and has the safety component of not having the anastomosis compromised by possible emboli (clotting). NAICS Code 423450. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Please direct all questions and responses in writing regarding this procurement to Sue Kaiser, Contract Specialist by fax at (561) 422-6507 or by email at sue.Kaiser@med.va.gov.no later than September 2, 2005, at 2:00 PM EST.
