Description

The National Park Service, Olympic National Park, intends to issue a sole source award to Microwave Data Systems for a 900MHz Microwave Link. The Microwave will operate at a licensed frequency pair of 933.375 MHz and 942.575 with 200 KHz bandwidth. The system will be located in Port Angeles, Washington and provide a point-to-point 12 mile link to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park. The system must be a digital microwave with hot standby and have the ability to provide 6 phone circuits, 24 wire E&M voice modules, and a dedicated Ethernet circuit within the 200 KHz bandwidth assigned. The phone circuits must interface with a NORTEL option 11 PBX and the Ethernet circuit with Olympic National Parks WAN. Assembly and testing will be required prior to delivery. THIS NOTICE IS NEITHER A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS NOR A SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. A determination not to compete this proposed contract has been made pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i). This requirement has been justified and approved in accordance with FAR 6.303 and Far 6.304.
