Description

The work consists of building a computer based model in the Risk Assessment and Mitigation Strategies (RAMS) system using Government-furnished fire and resource management data and producing the following outputs: 1) RAMS Fire Management Unit Assessment, 2) Community Assessment and Actions Component, 3) RAMS Fuels Management Component, 4) RAMS Five-year statewide "Roll up" report and 5) GIS mapping products and services to support the analyses. NAICS: 541620. The RAMS program is a BLM planning tool used for identifying, planning, analyzing and quantifying fuel management and fire prevention/education/mitigation activities. The selected contractor must have experience in working with the RAMS program as well as with NFMAS Fire Planning, Wildfire Prevention Assessment and Planning (WPAP), Prevention Workload Analyses (PWA) Versions 1.0 and 2.0 and Fuels Assessment and Treatment Evaluation (FATE). Work shall include one or more visits to the OR-WA State Office and each OR/WA BLM district fire management office to collect data. There are 10 in the Oregon/Washington area. Estimated start work date is September 26, 2005 and performance time is 20 calendar days. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. This solicitation will be posted electronically. Paper copies are no longer available. Estimated issue date is September 7, 2005.
