- Description
- The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command intends to issue solicitation No. N66001-05-R-0038, for support of SPAWAR by designing, building, maintaining, modifying, and setting up exhibits for use in trade shows, conventions, and symposia. Exhibits are based on modular exhibit systems that are customized for each show to meet the marketing objectives of SPAWAR Management. In between exhibit events, the contractor shall provide for storage of the exhibit systems and support materials such that these are reasonably protected from extremes of moisture and temperature, known pests, vandalism, unauthorized use or appropriation, and destruction from fire or flood. Schedules are unpredictable with quick turnaround times and critical deadlines. Work may involve overtime and travel. The Navy intends to solicit and award a single award, a combination of Cost- Plus-Fixed Fee/Firm-Fixed Price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, with a base period of 12 month and four (4) one-year options. This requirement is a follow on to Contract N00039-05-M-0012 with Lewellen & Best Exhibit Solutions, Inc. This procurement will be conducted as a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The applicable NAICS is 339999 and the small business size is 500 employees. Selection will be based on a best value source selection using a trade-off process and include in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations 15.1. All potential offerors are reminded, in accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (Oct 2003), lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. The estimated release date for the solicitation is on or about September 7, 2005. Electronic copies of the solicitation will be available for download via the Internet World Wide Web at the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central Business Opportunity Page, Systems Center - San Diego, "Open Solicitations", https://e- commerce.spawar.navy.mil/. The Government will not provide hard copy versions of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments. Notification of any changes (amendments) to the solicitation will be made only on the Internet at https://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil/; it will be the contractor's responsibility to check the website for any posted changes. All prospective offerors and plan rooms are encouraged to register for automatic e-mail notification of changes/amendments on the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central Business Opportunity Page website.
