- The Government intends to negotiate an Indefinite Delivery, Requirements type contract with firm fixed prices for drink and snack vending machines and vending machine accessories in support of the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) Ships Store Program, Virginia Beach, VA. The Government intends to use these items onboard Naval Ships. The Contractor shall conduct training for the naval personnel at no additional cost. The Contractor shall offer repair and maintenance services to every major worldwide port area.as well as periodical visits to overseas home-ported ships. The period of performance is for one base year with four (4), twelve-month option periods. This procurement is set aside for small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 423440. The solicitation number for this procurement is N00189-05-T-0021 and will be released on or about 25 August 2005 with a response date of 02 September 2005. All quotes will be evaluated based on technical, past performance, and price. Technical and past performances, when combined, are significantly more important than cost or price. Technical, is more important than past performance and significantly more important than price, and past performance is more important than price. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the offeror will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal. By submission of a proposal, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
