Description

The U S Army Corps of Engineers intends to negotiate on a competitive basis for a contractor to provide all supervision, material, labor, and equipment to remove (two) existing 141 ton Mcquay cetrifugal chillers, old refrigerant and all associated eq uipment. The contractor shall perform this action in accordance with the stated specifications of the manufacturer and the Government. Contractor shall install new systems on the existing concrete pads or they may be modified by the contractor and approved by the Government. Contractor shall install the two new screw type water cooled electric chillers utilizing all required equipment, supervision, materials and labor to complete a turn-key job. The work is to be performed at the Humphreys Enginner Center. Quotes are due back 15 days from date of RFQ issue issue. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FedBizopps website at: www.fedbizopps.gov for current status of solicitations and amendme nts. All offerors will be ineligible for award unless they have registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration database at http://www.ccr.gov. Contractors will be advised of a site visit that will be conducted to allow contractors a view of the site location and it's requirements. The contract type will be a Firm Fixed Price and the RFQ release date is 23 Aug 2005. Quotes will not be accepted after due date. This procurement is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220.
