- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Eastern Region has a requiremeent to Install Four (4) Air Handling Units, Install Chilled Water Supply and Return, Hot Water Supply and Return, etc., at the Air Route Traffic Control Center, Leesburg, Virginia. This screening information request (SIR)is set aside for Small Business concerns. The FAA Acquisition Management System defines a small business as: a business, including its affliates, that is independently owned and operated and not dominant in producing the products or performing the services being purchased, and that qualifies as a small business under the Federal Government's criteria and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), size standards. The NAICS CODE for this project is 238220. Due to a time restraint, all fac requests musst be received by 2:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time on August 24, 2005. Request shall be faxed to 718-005-5685. ATTN; Maria Gallo. The following companies have been identified as a Small Business, capable of satisfying this requirement and will be provided a copy of the SIR. Hughes & Smith, Howard Shockey, Inc. Additionally, four (4) copies of the SIR are available to interest companies. Requests for the soliciation will be controlled based on the time and date as it appears on the FAXED REQUEST. Request received after the limit has been reached shall not receive a response from the Government, however, an announcement will be made naming all who have been sent the SIR. Estimated cost of the procurement is between $130,000 - $145,000. Evaluation of proposals to this SIR will rely heavily on Technical Performance, Past Performance, Time of Delivery, and Financial Capability. The Government is seeking offers that provide the best combination of quality and price in order to select the greatest value or "BEST BUY" offer. Therefore, award may be made to other than the lowest offer.
