Description

Naval Medical Logistics Command has a requirement for the services of two (2) Post Graduate Year (PGY 4) psychiatry residents to provide psychiatry services in support of Naval Hospital Great Lakes (NGHL) for treatment of Navy recruits and other eligible Navy personnel assigned to Recruit Training Center (Boot Camp), located at the Naval Training Center (NTC), Great Lakes, IL. NTC and the Recruit Training Center are supported by NHGL. The health care worker(s) shall primarily provide services to patients on an acute basis as well as providing evaluations of patients, as directed. The health care workers will receive direct supervision, teaching, evaluation and oversight from a privileged Navy psychiatrist assigned to NHGL. It is the Government?s intention that health care worker(s) providing services under this contract shall gain experience and exposure in the management of patients with psychiatric diseases and mental health care needs achieved by meeting the diagnostic, treatment, and related objectives described herein. The contract resulting from this solicitation will be for a base period of one year with four option periods of one year each for a total of 60 months. Award will be made to one Contractor on a firm fixed price contract. Services are required for the base period of 01 Oct 2005 through 30 September 2006. Offerors shall be required to provide documentation/information that they meet all qualifications to perform the required services and have the technical experience to do so. The applicable SIC code is 8062. The NAICS code is 622110. The solicitation will be available on the NMLC home page at http://www.nmlc.med.navy.mil on or about 23 August 2005. The solictaiton shall, unless subsequently amended, close on 9 Sept 2005 at 4:00 PM EST. The Navy is committed to a paperless acquisition process. No RFPs will be mailed to offerors.
