- Description
- Air Combat Command Contracting Squadron, Langley AFB VA, is in the process of determining the acquisition strategy to obtain non-personal services for software which implements the Joint Safe Range program. The Safe Range program will ensure users of the program sustain safe operations at each Bombing and Gunnery (B&G) Range operated by Air Combat Command, the National Guard, Air Force Reserve Command, Pacific Air Forces, United States Air Force in Europe, the US Navy, US Marine Corps, US Army as well as the nations of The United Kingdom, Australia, and Germany. The period of performance will cover a one-year base period with five, one-year options. The government expects to make an award on or about 1 Sep 06. This acquisition will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) on or about 23 Feb 06. The Draft Statement of Work (SOW) will be posted with this sources sought notification. ACC Contracting is also attaching a questionnaire for all interested parties to complete and return with other requested information. Interested parties should review these documents and provide any comments via e-mail to this office. The Air Force will consider and respond to all inputs received. Industry response is encouraged to ensure all parties have maximum opportunity to participate in this acquisition. The government plans to use the Internet and e-mail as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging information. Hard copies will not be made available. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541519, ADP Systems Development Services. The government seeks industry input to determine if this acquisition should be a total set-aside under the auspice of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19. Interested small businesses who are certified and qualified as a small business concern in NAICS 541519 are encouraged to respond and submit their notification to this office NLT COB Friday 2 Sep 05. Responding small businesses may later be required to submit a capabilities package outlining their capabilities in key areas as determined by the government and relevant to the performance of this requirement.
