Description

The VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking qualified, responsible small business firms who have the capacity and capability to provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to complete Project 693-04-103 Plumbing System Upgrade Phase 3 Project. Work will include but is not limited to the replacement of hot water generators and hot water pressure boost systems in the nursing home, replacement of the existing main building perimeter steam heating control valves with new valves and ddc controls, replacement of existing steam pressure reducing valve stations with new valve stations and other related valving, piping, replacement and other related repair items. Some work areas require hours between 5pm and 5am and others 6pm Friday to 6pm Sunday. Other areas may be worked between 7am and 5pm Monday though Friday. Construction cost range is $250,000-500,000. NAICS for this procurement is 236220, size standard 28.5 million. Bid documents will be available on or about August 26, 2005. All respondents must be registered in Central Contractor Registration database at www.ccr.gov. Bid documents will be issued on a first come first serve basis until supply is exhausted. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Bids from other than small businesses will not be considered. Award is subject to availability of funds.
