Description

Sources Sought. The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intend to acquire the following items for the National Weather Service (NWS) to be placed in stock at the National Logistics Support Center (NLSC) in Kansas City, Missouri: NSN 5895-01-457-6193, ASN: S100-1A6A4-D, RF Modem (Radio), Programmable/Frequency, Dataradio part number T-24SR UHF Modem (NWS Modified T-96R), default frequency for delivery and inspection is 410.950 MHZ, quantity of 200 each. The intended acquisition is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire from one source under the authority of 41 USC 235(c) (1), Only One Responsible Source. The only known source is DataRadio COR Ltd., Waseca, MN. DataRadio is the only company capable of providing the RF modem compatible with the RNet 9600 currently used for ASOS ACU to DCP RF communications. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. The Government reserves the right to solicit offers based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue a contract to DataRadio COR Ltd., whichever is determined to be more advantageous to the Government, without further notice. Only firms that can provide the exact equipment described herein will be considered. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within ten (10) calendar days of its publication. All responses must be in writing and may be faxed to (816) 426-5067, attention of Jackie Shewmaker. All firms doing business with this Acquisition office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
