Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Eastern Region GIO, intends to acquire digital orthoimagery on a sole source basis from Vermont Mapping Program, Waterbury, Vermont. The USGS is supporting a joint program for current orthorectified images with the intent to set a common baseline that will ensure the widest utility of digital orthoimagery for the user and producer through enhanced data sharing and the reduction of redundant data production. The Vermont Mapping Program is the only known source currently collecting and distributing data that meets USGS specifications and is uniquely positioned to be the primary geographic framework data steward for Vermont. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. NO FORMAL RFQ WILL BE AVAILABLE. The anticipated award date is 08/17/2005, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS code is 925120.
