Description
The scope of work may consist of all aspects of MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) Repair/Alteration projects. The United States Postal Service shall be seeking to award multiple contracts for engineering services that will be for five years, with individual work orders being issued. Each work order will be negotiated as an individual project. The total amount of work ordered over the five-year period may not exceed $5,000,000, or be less than $5,000. Firms which possess the qualifications to perform the services described below are invited to submit two (2) copies SF 330 Architect-Engineer Qualifications for itself and for each of its proposed consultants to the office shown above not later than September 12, 2005. The selection will be conducted by using the submitted SF 330 form. Interested firms with more than one office must indicate on their SF 330 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Consideration will be given to firms responding to this advertisement in accordance with the instruction in the following order of preference. 1. Local; within the city limits of Albuquerque, NM; and 2. Within the state of New Mexico. Firms will be considered as local only if their sole office is in the local geographical area or have a local branch office and all the engineering design, coordination and management of the project will be performed in that office. Criteria to be used in selection of firms for interview will be: 1) Engineering is the primary function of the submitting office; 2) Possess AUTOCAD 2002 or higher; 3) Have at least two personnel registered in the State of New Mexico to practice Engineering; 4) Experience with AUTOCAD systems using similar standards and procedures; 5) Experience of office personnel with AUTOCAD systems; 6) Past Experience in repair and alteration work; 7) Firm?s ability to manage several repair and alteration projects at a single time; and 8) Prospective firms are to provide evidence of current insurance of $200,000 of errors and omissions per claim. It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from award of a contract for this project. In the future, the Postal Service may elect to expand the geographic area on this contract to include Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas without further solicitation. No other general notification for this project will be made. The US Postal Service reserves the right to make multiple awards on this solicitation. Submission will not be retained or returned.
