Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) has plans to award a follow-on sole source/firm-fixed price contract with Litton Guidance and Controls Systems to procure seventy-three (73) Global Positioning System Inertial Navigation Assemblies (GINA) and the associated support services (i.e., engineering, testing , validating, and verifying). The prospective contract award will contain one (1) base and four (4) option years and will be in effect from fiscal year 2006 through fiscal year 2010. Currently, GINAs and the support services are procured under Contract N00019-03-C-0017, which was also awarded sole source to the same company. Litton Guidance and Control Systems is the exclusive designer and developer of the GINA system. GINA consists of a self contained, all attitude, world wide, strap-down Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) and an embedded GPS receiver (EGR) that is capable of fully authorized operations whenever any combination of Selective Availability and Anti-Spoofing (SA/AS) operation is employed by the GPS Space and Control Segments.
