Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. The Government requires a number of battery cells and associated electronics to simulate a half string of the Advanced SEAL Delivery System (ASDS) Lithium Ion battery. The half string will be used for training purposes, to simulate repair and maintenance procedures on the actual battery. Delivery will be required by 25 March 2005. The training battery will be delivered to SDVT-1, Pearl City, HI. Inspection and acceptance of the training battery will be at origin and delivery will be FOB destination. The applicable NAICS Classification is 335911 and the size standard is 500 employees. The Navy intends to solicit and negotiate this contract on a sole-source basis with Yardney Technical Products, Pawcatuck, CT, based on FAR 6.302-1, only one source capable of meeting the Government?s requirements.
