Description

The demolition scope of work includes removal of two cooling towers, three condenser water pumps, and associated piping. New construction includes installation of two new cooling towers, two new condenser water pumps, a new concrete condenser water sump, a new condenser water dirt separator, a new chilled water air and dirt separator, and new plate & frame heat exchanger. Work shall include installation of all associated ductwork, piping, electrical power and control systems for a fully functional system. Deductive Alternate No. 1 Delete the chilled water system air and dirt separator. Deductive Alternate No. 2 Delete the plate, frame heat exchanger for free cooling. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business in accordance with Public Law 108-183. The solicitation will be available for download from this website on/before August 12, 2005. Contact the Contracting Officer at denise.boren@med.va.gov to obtain drawings on CD. Bid Opening Date will be September 12, 2005 at 2:00 pm Mountain Daylight Time. The predominate NAICS is 238220 and the size standard is $12 million in average annual receipts for the last three fiscal years. Numbered note 29 applies to this procurement.
