- Description
- The purpose of this solicitation is to secure services to maintain seedling beds in a weed free condition at the Bessey Nursery. Services shall consist of removing/rouging weeds and dead dieased trees without damaging seedlings, maintaining the seed beds in a condition so that there are no weeds of any size in blossom or seed stage, and no weeds are greater than or equal to 3 inches in height and no weeds are greater than 1 inch in crown diameter, remove and dispose of all extracted vegetive material to an approved disposal site. This announcement will result in a solicitation for a firm-fixed price contract and is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Request for quotation award procedures will be utilized, to determine the best value to the Government. The period of performance will include a base period from time of award to September 30th and (2) one-year option periods from May 1 to September 30th. This is an electronic pre-announcement only. All information will be posted and documents available for download exclusively at the www.fedbizopps.gov website, on or about May 21, 2005.
