- Description
- The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials as needed to construct a new septic system for three buildings located at the Home Ranch site within Point Reyes National Seashore in Marin County, CA. The project bid items include the installation of the following: New PVC Gravity Sewer (approx 540 lf), including 7-each 4-inch Cleanouts; 1-1/4-inch Pressure Dosing Pipe (approx 1900 lf); 2-inch PVC Leachfield Header Pipe (approx 160 lf); Leachfield Cutoff Drain Line (approx 500 lf); 3-inch PVC Sewer Forcemain (approx 445 lf); Concrete Valve Vaults (2 ea); 4,000-gallon Wet Well Tank; 1,200-gallon Septic Tank; 2,000-gallon Septic Tank; Barbed Wire fencing and gates (approx 710 lf); Submersible Wastewater Pump System; Toilet Replacement (5 ea); and Electrical Controls and Wiring. All work shall be completed within 120 days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed. The range is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. An award may be made without discussions, therefore the initial proposal should contain the offeror's best terms for all items from a cost or price and technical standpoint. Award selection will be based on quality (past performance, experience in similar projects, and qualifications of key personnel) and price. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available via electronic commerce only and may be accessed on/about August 19, 2005 at either http://www.fedbizopps.gov or directly through the DOI National Business Center site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The due date for receipt of proposals will be 30 days after issuance. The contractor will be responsible for periodically checking the website for any Amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFP. This acquisition is unrestricted and is being issued pursuant to Public Law 100-656. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which, if timely received, will be considered.
