Description
PREFABRICATED FULLY ASSEMBLED PORTABLE BUILDINGS. OBJECTIVE: The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program requires two prefabricated, self contained, fully assembled, portable buildings, also known as dock boxes for interior and exterior use. The portable buildings will be used as office space for 3-4 persons. This will be a turn key operation which includes design and delivery of fully assembled buildings to Edwards and removal of any generated debris. Expected need date is 30 Sep 2005. REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall provide two (2) prefabricated, fully assembled portable buildings 8 feet X 16 feet for interior and exterior use. The building will include double glazed, temper safety glass, lockable door, and pre-wired electrical package to include fluorescent ceiling lights, switches and outlets. Each building will include forklift pockets and a box with an empty raceway to facilitate pulling data wires from the exterior. Each building will have one single insulated (R-12) steel door with a standard knob lockset, door sweep, and exit signage. The insulation in floor and walls will be R-19 and insulation in roof will be R-30 as buildings will be outside and subject to 110 plus degrees. Walls will decorative seamable paneling on both sides of rigid polystyrene core and insulation. The double-glazed, temper safety glass windows will be on the sides and front of the structures.HVAC: Each building HVAC system will meet the requirements to support four (4) persons, four (4) computers, and two (2) printers.ELECTRICAL: Each building will be provided a minimum of eight (8) 120 volt outlets with four (4) per circuit. Lighting will be on a dedicated circuit as well as the HVAC. The circuit panel will be located at ground level. The building input power should be 120/240 volt single phase. CODE REQUIREMENTS: All construction shall meet all applicable base codes and standard specifications shall be designed and constructed in accordance with the latest applicable requirements of the standard specifications and codes, and other such regularly published and accepted standards. RESPONSIBILITY OF INSPECTIONS: Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract, the supplier may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements. The procuring activity reserves the right to witness and perform any of the inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to requirements. REPORTS AND SUBMITTALS: All reports or submittals by the contractor shall be submitted to Contracting (PK) and a copy to the JSF Logistician. All as-build drawings shall be provided in the latest Auto-CAD software and turned over to PK and the JSF Logistician. MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION: 1.1 Prohibited Items. The following items are prohibited from the work site. Cell phones with cameras, camera computers, weapons, video and audio cassette recorders, and binoculars. 1.2 Safety. Contractor shall ensure that job site cleanliness will be maintained at all times and barricade or safety cones will be utilized to isolate the job site from normal personnel traffic. 1.3 Fire Protection. No open flames will be utilized unless prior approval is obtained and Fire Safety issues a burn permit. 1.4 Smoking. No smoking is permitted within the building. Smoking is permitted in Designated Areas Only. 1.5 Citizenship Status. Access to the facility shall be to citizens of the United States, who shall be able to provide evidence of citizenship upon request. Contractor personnel may be subject to inspection upon entering or leaving the facility. Visit Requests are required to be submitted through JSF Security as well as through the Base Contracting Officer (PK). Must provide names, Social Security Numbers, place of birth, date of birth, valid Drivers License Number, and naturalization number if non US born. 1.6 Foreign Object Debris (FOD). The contractor must comply with FOD requirements where designated by the ITF. All equipment entering designated areas must be inventoried before and prior to leaving the designated areas. Contractor is responsible for all trash created during work. 1.7 Trash Disposal. The contractor will be responsible for disposing of any trash generated as a result of their work, keeping in mind that FOD can result in major fines. 1.8 If Burn Permits are required, please notify the Site Support Manager, to obtain them, prior to any welding. 1.9 Certain cell phones will not work in the flight line area. Access to phones will be available upon request, if the contractor?s cellular device is inoperable.
