- Description
- The purpose of this effort is to support on going initiatives for the development of Integrated Survey And Cost Estimating - Tool (ISEC-T)the need is driven by the requirement to quickly develop highly detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) used to suppor t solicitation of proposals for engineering efforts for the United States Government.RapidBOM is already a very effective tool for expediting and enhancing the U.S. Armys process of source selection for telecommunications projects. Given the extensive wo rk that the Government has already supported by developing and utilizing Data Descriptors, RapidBOM provides a very effective extension. The Government is seeking sources that can provide the necessary resources to perform the following efforts: The enhan cement requirements will: Provide for electronic downloading of Kit costs developed by the U.S. Army cost model into RapidBOM and for production of a BOM report in RapidBOM using this cost data: Broaden the Kit building capability to enable any one individ ual cable product to be its own Kit for ISP cross-connects and OSP: Expedite the process by which contractors replace generic products within U.S. Army provided Kits with actual products and their associated prices to create a priced BOM for submission to the Army;Enhancement of the current RapidBOM program to include: 1.Export cost model data into RapidBOM* 2.Create Kits for cable 3.Map,report, export actual products 4. IGCE vs. contractor comparison 5. Update Kit data for contractors. What experience do y ou have with RapidBOM? Please explain. How long have you worked on this type of requirement? Companies who can provide the above listed enhancements must respond by COB 09 Aug 05 via email with a capability statement. Notify araceli.sierra.mandy@us.army.m il. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to evalute all responses and may determine that a competitive procurement is not appropriate to make an award.
