DOD has also ob tained these parts with the end item TQG generator sets from Fermont under their part number 0116-1607-01 (4240-01-519-5626) and 0116-1607-02 (NSN 2940-01-519-8738), CAGE 93742. DOD is interested in awarding a one time contract to purchase quantities rangi ng from 6 to 10 of each Fluid Filter type. There are current sources for this item. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of these units is not available from the Army. Suppliers capable of furnishing new Fluid Filters should indicate so by writing to Commander, CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-G-GN, Building 1200W, Ft. Monmouth, NJ 07703-5023. The response should include production lead time, production capacity by month, surge capacity, number of years part will be available, ranges for pri ce breaks if applicable, part number & manufacturer (CAGE) of proposed parts, or any other information that could affect the acquisition, supply and delivery of the parts. The response should also include documentation such as copy of purchase order if th e supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with a unit from the supplier listed above. The Government will also consider Fluid Filters from other manufacture rs that have the same form, fit, and function as the required part. Alternate Fluid Filters would have to pass extensive performance and qualification testing to ensure the parts meet the Militarys requirements, the cost and time of which would be consid ered in the acquisition decision. The successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
