Description
ERFO 2005, Repair Forest Roads 2160 & 2160100. The Olympic National Forest, Washington, intends to acquire by contract: (1) Road 2160, milepost 5.9, repair work consisting of construction staking, clearing, removing and disposing of existing culvert, and installing a 2160mm x 16m Q100 culvert, riprap, hauling borrow, aggregate and seeding; and (2) Road 2160100, milepost 1.61, repair work consisting of construction staking, clearing, removing damaged 2440mm x 21m culvert, replacing damaged 10m section and reinstalling culvert, riprap, hauling borrow and waste, aggregate and seeding. The government will proceed to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) Solicitation restricted to HubZone small business concerns. If an acceptable offer is not received from a certified HUBZone small business concern, offers from non-HUBZone small business concerns may submit offers on or before August 30, 2005. Offers will be evaluated on price, experience, and past performance. Each contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. The government estimated value is between $100,000 and $500,000. The projects are located on the Olympic National Forest, Hood Canal Ranger Districts. The projects are located on the Olympic National Forest, Pacific Ranger Districts. Travel north on Highway 101 from Lake Quinault to Forest Road 21. Turn right on Forest Road 21 and travel approximately 8 miles to Forest Road 2160 and travel 5.9 miles to washout. To get to Road 2160100 milepost 1.61 continue on 2160, by foot or mountain bike, for approximately 1.6 miles to junction Road 2160100. Turn right onto Road 2160100, travel 1.61 miles to washout. The operating season is from 8/6 ? 10/30. In-stream work, at both sites, is only permitted between 8/6 and 8/31. Completion date is October 30, 2006. Performance and payment bonds are required for this project. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price. The solicitation will be available on or about August 15, 2005. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
