Description

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with MKS Software, Inc. to procure training and consulting support for the MKS Mid-Tier Configuration Management tool. This tool is a proprietary product and training and consultation services relating to the product are restricted to personnel employed by MKS. Both the product and services support the Medicare Modernization Act of 2004 and the numerous MMA applications due to be installed this year. The procurement will be conducted under other than full and open competition in accordance with the authority provided at 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). If no affirmative written document is received within 15 days of this synopsis, CMS will proceed with negotiations to issue a contract to MKS Software, Inc.
