Description
Please refer questions concerning this solicitation to the POC for this solicitation, Mr. Louie Brackett at FAX No. 251-694-3626. THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. In general, work will consist of the following: Construct a 12,000 square foot single story administrative facility with CMU on a str uctural steel framing system. HVAC, fire suppression, interior finishes are required. Site work includes clearing and grubbing, storm drainage, utilities, and landscaping. Estimated cost range of the project is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Solicitation documents should be available on or about 8 August 2005. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220. Mr. Edward M. Slana is Contracting Officer for this project. Note No. 1: Any prospective bidder interested in bidding on this solicitation must register for plans and specifications in order to download a copy of the solicitation and be placed on the plan holder's list. If you are not registered, the United States government is not responsible for providing you with notifications of any changes to this solicitation. A Pre-Proposal Conference and Contractor Site Visit has been scheduled for 1300 hrs, on 22 August 2005 at the Base CE conference room. The purpose of the conference is to familiarize the bidders with the scope of work, address bidders questions concerning the project, participate in a site visit to become familiar with the existing site con ditions, and familiarize the bidders with the Best Value process. Attendance at the conference is strongly recommended. Due to Base Security requirements and limited field staff available for construction contractor site visits, this scheduled site visit will be the only one offered. Individual requests for site visits will not be granted. Contractors will be required to register with Ms. Nancy Henry, by 1200 hrs, on 17 August 2005 and provide their given name - no nicknames, the project name, name of the company that they represent, and a state drivers license number. Contractors must provide a list with the names of the persons to be attending the site visit on Company Letterhead and FAX it to Ms. Nancy Henry at the numbers shown below. Request for attendance received after the date shown above will not be accepted. The number of attendees is limited to four from each firm.
