This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing kn owledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential in maintaining the quality of the part. Alternate sources must qualify in accordance with the design controls activitys procedures as approved by the Government engineering activity. A Contractor First Article Tests are required and will be identified in accordance with each requirement. Firms that can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. F irms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under CAPSAR and Policy Relating to Source Approval Request (SAR) for Aviation requirements. The closin g date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation; however, solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above. Foreign firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must b e processed through their respective embassies. Adequate technical data is not available for this acquisition. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. NOTES: 22, 23 and 26.
