Description

NAICS Code 238140. Work includes, but is not limited to: a base offer of the removal and replacement of approximately 3,300 lineal feet of 1/2" wide polyurethane caulking from the vertical expansion joints of the building curtain wall. The project will include options for additional removal and replacement of approximately 35,000 lineal feet of 1/2" wide from the rest of the building, which will be dependent on availability of funds after October 1, 2005. All work will be performed at the Federal Building/Post Office/Courthouse, Pierre, South Dakota. Security clearances will be required for all workers. Work to be completed within 60 calendar days after notice to proceed. Estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000, including options. The solicitation will be issued July 28, 2005, with offers due on August 16, 2005. Offerors must allow Government 90 days for acceptance after offer due date. Anticipated award date for base offer is August 23, 2005. To be eligible for award, contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov. The solicitation will be made available electronically at the FedBizOpps website on the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This site provides instructions for downloading documents. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the site for the release of the solicitation and amendments, if any. A limited number of paper copies of the solicitation will be made available. Requests for paper copies must be made in writing to the Contracting Officer at PO Box 19, Aberdeen, SD 57402. Fax requests will be accepted at 605-226-7305. This procurement is being conducted on an unrestricted basis in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible sources submitting an offer will be considered. Information regarding a site visit will be announced in the solicitation. A site visit is recommended.
