Description

The 47th Contracting Squadron at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas will be requesting proposals for the repair/modification of Hangar Doors. The performance area is Laughlin Air Force Base. The proposed contract will consist of, but not be limited to, the following: Repair Building 414 hangar doors so that they fully open and completely close smoothly and correctly. In addition, replace the weather striping, both along the bottom and vertical edge of each door. Also modify the hangar doors so that they open and close automatically; this may include, but is not limited to installing electronic motors, brakes, safety edge sensors, time delay before door movement, alarm(s), etc. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238290 and size standard is $12,000,000.00. The solicitation package will be issued in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be available for downloading from the Internet on the Federal Business Opportunities (Fed Biz Opps) Website at address: www.eps.gov on or about 28 July 2005. The closing date is tentatively scheduled for on or about 29 August 2005. All interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a Government contract and must have complied with the VETS 100 reporting requirement. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award.
