Description
DESCRIPTION: This sources sought notice will be used by the Contracting Officer to determine if it is in the government's best interest to exercise the next option of the current contract. This information is intended to assist in acquisition planning and no formal solicitation exists at this time. This is a request for information only and a response is not considered an offer, nor does it commit the government to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of any submission. Interested offerors must submit a brief but complete capability statement that demonstrates the capability to perform these services for an evaluation to this office no later than COB 19 July, 2005. All responses to this sources sought notice shall include company name and address, business size and type, point of contact to include email address and phone number, a cost estimate, as well as previous procurements performed of similar size and complexity. LOCATION: Pensacola, FL GENERAL: The services to be furnished under this contract include operation of multiple watercraft, boats, and related maintenance services, port operations, and waterfront administration in support of the operational and training missions of tenants assigned to Naval Air Station Pensacola (NASP); enhancing the readiness of the Department of Defense and other customers. The Contractor shall be responsible for the operation and maintenance of various watercraft and equipment and shall provide port operations services. The Contractor shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective completion of all services required. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall operate and maintain government furnished vessels that include but are not limited to one 157 ton over water survival launch platform, five 41 foot MonArk tow / pickup boats, five 35 foot Premium tow / pickup boats, one 500 ton helicopter landing trainer (HLT), three 40 foot utility boats, one 41 foot MonArk pilot / security boats, two 24 foot security boats, one 28 foot rapid response skimmer, three 19 to 22 foot workboats, three 21 to 30 foot boom handling craft and one 19 foot Boston Whaler. The contractor will also provide port services support for ship visits and fuel farm oil booming support.
