Description

The 89th Contracting Squadron at Andrews AFB, MD intends to issue a solicitation for the lease of five (5) 2005 model year or newer diesel powered commercial shuttle buses. This acquisition is set aside 100% for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 532120. The entire solicitation will be made available on the Government Point of Entry (GPE), Fedbizops website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about 11 Jul 2005. The buses will shuttle passengers between the Andrews AFB passenger terminal and departing/arriving aircraft. Buses must be manufactured in accordance with all State of Maryland, the United States Department of Transportation, Interstate commerce commission Regulations and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Solicitations must be downloaded from the above website. No written solicitations will be issued. All information required for submission of an offer will be included in the solicitation. Receipts will not be issued for any offer. Any questions concerning this notice shall be sent via fax or e-mail to the contracting officer. The government is contemplating a contract for a basic period and four one-year option periods. The Government reserves the right not to exercise the options. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, restrict the Government in its ultimate acquisition approach, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for proposal preparation cost.
